Pidgin won't dock itself anymore!

Heya all,
For some reason, after I removed a panel and re-added the applet which docks all the programs (notification area) on gnome, pidgin won't dock itself anymore. All other programs- skype, dropbox, etc... do. I tried to work around this using Alltray, but after using it a lot it just stopped working.
Now whenever I use pidgin, I need the buddy list window open. It's distracting and in the way.
Help?

Using: Ubuntu Jaunty
Gnome Desktop.

regards,
-rp

Perhaps you could try to turn off the option 'show pidgin in tray' and turn it on afterwards. Sometimes it helps.
