Pidgin: Unable to RSA encrypt the password (opensteamworks)
 

Hi.

I encountered the "Unable to RSA encrypt the password" error message while trying to login to my account in pidgin with the opensteamworks plugin.

I did two things in order to solve the problem, and apparently one of them did solve it. This is what I did:

1. Recompiled pidgin with the sasl use flag (I'm on gentoo)
2. Reentered my password in the account settings dialog

I'm not sure which one did solve it, but simply recompiling did not help. I really had to reenter the password. Seems very lame I know, but it works. Maybe this error message is a very weird way to tell users that there is an incorrect password(?). I'm not sure.

At least now that I have found a solution, all those who encounter the same problem will have a clue what to do...
