Pidgin musictracker doesn't make updates to "Now Playing" field
 

I am using Pidgin with musictracker.

When other people are playing the songs and they use Gtalk their status is updated with the "Now Playing" field with a music icon in front of their name as: http://img535.imageshack.us/img535/2527/musicupdate.png

But musictracker updates it as : http://img814.imageshack.us/img814/7...sicupdate1.png

How do I get the former effect with Pidgin.

Go to tools > plugin. select musictracker from plugins list and click on configure plugin. There in the Status format, Plying field add %m at the beginning. Mine is %m %r: %t by %p on %a (%d). It will display the music icon.

@papul1993 If you please see the image links I have posted I get the music symbol as status message, I just do not get the music icon in Pidgin list.

Anyways I tried your idea, still it doesn't work.

If you see http://img535.imageshack.us/img535/2527/musicupdate.png then you find that I am using XMPP and there is a music icon next to the profile pic and its not in the status. And this icon is because of the the "Now Playing" field in the XMPP.

If you see the first post I am getting the music symbol in my status message.
