pidgin doesn't work with Yahoo
 

I am using Pidgin 2.11.0 (libpurple 2.11.0) on MX-15 but it no longer works with Yahoo. I can't enable my Yahoo screen name. I have asked on the Pidgin website and I just receive redicoulas responses of a repeat post which they can't show me any proof of it being so. Then passes the buck to github. Does anyone know the fix for this?

Yes, but I didn't get exactly that response. So does that mean pidgin is coming out with a new version to correct this issue?

This means the author of plugin wrote a new plugin for new protocol. Now you can build it for yourself or wait until your distro catches up.

Thanks. I don't know how to build it so I will wait for my distro to put it out.

You can probably speed it up by filing a bug with them.
