pidgin connects with google talk (mail) contacts but not hangouts

I have problem seting-up pidgin to work properly: it only connects/displays google talk(mail) contacts but not hangouts (google+) but there's no option, so I tried to add another account where server is

and username my google+ name, but that fails. Does anyone know the solution? I mostly care about hangouts an that doesn't work

actually it's very funny so I wrote a friend via hangouts in browser and then it appears in pidgin, but others from google+ are not there, pretty strange...
