Pidgin aspell change?

Hi, my pidgin have a dictionary in English and I want to change it to Portuguese, how can I change aspell idiom?
I use slackware-current and XFCE 4.6.1.

I am assuming you have installed the portuguese dictionary for aspell (either the -pt or -br version depending on your country).

You then need to set your locale, because aspell will use this to determine which dictionary to use.

If you want to have multiple locales, it is more difficult, because pidgin doesn't provide a way of switching spellings (and the default will be used). There is a plugin to do this, which I have not tried out.
