Picasa save function...

I like Google Picasa a lot for organizing and slight tuning of all my photos. I use Linux almost exclusively as I am trying to fully migrate from Windows.
The problem I am having with Picasa is saving modifications of photos, for example straightening. In Windows the save changes button appears, but I don't see that button in the Linux version.
I am using Picasa Version 2.2.2820-5 for Linux. I am running Xubuntu 6.10 with Gnome desktop. I installed Picasa with Automatix 2 if that makes any difference. If anyone can help I would greatly appreciate it.
