pianobar won't accept my tls fingerprint

I just got pianobar installed on my new slackware system. When I try to run it, I see

Code:
michael@caitlyn pianobar $ pianobar
Welcome to pianobar (2013.09.15)! Press ? for a list of commands.
(i) Login... Network error: TLS fingerprint mismatch.
This worked on my old distro. The slackbuild page for pianobar said that the tls fingerprint changed. The only things active in my config file are my user name, my password, and the following line:

Code:
tls_fingerprint = 13CC51AC0C31CD96C55015C76914360F7AC41A00
What gives?

That version of pianobar is really outdated. A new release has been out since June 2016. I can confirm it builds/runs fine on Slackware 14.2.

So I should build it from source?

If you read the README that comes with the SlackBuild, there is a solution to your problem. You really should have read the documentation that is installed in "/usr/doc/" by the SlackBuild script before posting here.

Anyway, here it is:

https://slackbuilds.org/repository/14.2/audio/pianobar/

Thats what I did. It's 2017 and that SlackBuild is dated 2013.

Nothing changes. Saying that something that will solve my problem is in the README doesn't help me if I don't know what that something is. I'm sorry. You have my permission to think I'm stupid. Help me or don't help me.

I updated the SlackBuild and uploaded it to my GitHub repository.

Download the updated script and relevant files here:
https://github.com/BrentonEarl/slack...audio/pianobar

All you have to do then is download the source archive and run the SlackBuild as root.

Dependencies: The old pianobar requried faad2 and the new one requires ffmepg. Be sure you make that distinction before building.

I tested this new version of pianobar and all of the old features and new features work as expected on Slackware x86, x86_64, and ARM 14.2.

I am submitting an updated build script for this to SlackBuilds.org. Hopefully it is accepted. The pianobar.info file has the information you need (md5sum and tarball URL) to download the source.
