phpMYAdmin woes - files not found

After much battling I am close to achieving what I wished for which is a laptop that is running apache, MySql, PHP & phpMyAdmin.

The later is giving me the most problem, alothough I have it set now so it berings up the initial page (index.php) if I click on any of the links to try anything else it sasys the requested URL ..... was not found on this server, though the files do exist in the same directory the index.php file resides in.

I am at a loss so guess I am asking if anyone has come across this before ? or has any ideas ?

I'm going through the same thing right now. I can get to a welcome page but when I click on any of the links I receive a page is not found error message. I'll post a fix if I can find one.

Yay!!!

Thanks to a second pair of eyes. My buddy saw that I had the wrong path specified in config.inc.php I was using http://hostname.com/~user_name/public_html/myphpadmin rather than http://hostname.com/~user_name/myphpadmin

In my httpd.conf file I have enabled (by default) requests for /~user_name to serve the user's public_html directory so ofcourse I received a Not Found message when the links tried to pull up the /~user_name/public_html/myphphadmin.

Hope this helps!
