phpMyAdmin character Encoding Error

Dear Members,
I am facing an encoding issue with my phomyAdmin Installation Error. I set the encoding to en-utf-8 but when I try to login it gives "#1045- Access denied for user 'o53'@'localhost' (using password: YES)" error.Anyone please help.

I got this in browser address bar:

http://<my-server-ip>/phpmyadmin/index.php?lang=en-utf-8&convcharset=iso-8859-1&collation_connection=utf8_unicode_ci&token=542e556eb4455f62705077c87408e152

I am using Google Chrome. Please help.

it is because your php installation uses a password and you are not providing it.

see php.ini file for more info or share it here.

I am giving the password of phpmyadmin. But when I entered Username: root and Password: <top_secret> :P and try to login, i get the error: #1045- Access denied for user 'o™53'@'localhost' (using password: YES)

I entered 'root' and how did it changed to o™53. I Can't understand this behaviour. I tried multiple browsers and on multiple PCs but same result. Any idea?

check config.inc.php inside your phpMyAdmin dir and look out for:

Code:
$cfg['Servers'][$i]['password'] = '**root-password**';
This is as same as password set for mysql, so you may have to look out to your mysql credentials too.
NOTE: if you have not set any password, leave the password field blank and try logging in.
