php --with-imap and cyrus
 

hi there,

i am having to recompile my PHP setup but this time with the --with-imap option, when i run the configure i get a message saying it cant find rfc822.h. that is because it isnt on my system. i use cyrus as my imap server which doesnt seem to contain that file. i went into yast and installed IMAP and now it can find the file but i now get a new message

checking whether build with IMAP works... no
configure: error: build test failed. Please check the config.log for details.

i assume i cannot run the "imap" server as cyrus is already running and the setup is to large to change.

does anybody have any experiance with compiling php for use with imap and cyrus or any help or tips. I have googled and am continuing to do so but i will be very greatfull for any pointers.

the server i am running is SLES9 with a custom compile of apache2 and i will post any info upon request if it helps

i may be a dumb ars but,

is --with-cyrus the same as --with-imap but for a cyrus instalation?

just noticed --with-cyrus has been removed in php5
