php parseing config

This is starting to upset me, more to do with my own early onset dementia than anything else.

Another LAMP install, another failure to parse php by my webserver

http://irvken.homelinux.net/phpinfo.php

I've edited httpd.conf to pieces, can someone point me at a checklist or something so I can see if if there is something I've missed again.

When I get this working, this time I'm going to "write it all down" or more probably carve it into the wall

It's "parsing" for me just fine. How are you installing it?

Here's sort of a checklist:
http://www.php.net/manual/en/install.unix.php

Assuming Apache2...
Be sure you have these in your httpd.conf:
Code:
LoadModule php4_module libexec/libphp4.so
AddType application/x-httpd-php .php .phtml
AddType application/x-httpd-php-source .phps
Cool

oh yes, it is working now, wasn't this morning when I posted that, how strange. Those httpd.conf edits were the ones I did btw. Thanks for confirming that I did everything right anyway

however that is the only thing working, all other php pages it prompts me to download. I'm running Apache not Apache2, I tried apache2 for the first time yesterday but the httpd.conf was only 5 lines long with a warning not to edit it.
