Unhappy PHP/MySQL Question

Hello again, as you know, I'm a Fedora Core 2 n00b.

I need help. One big reason I'm using Linux is cuz of it's ability to run PHP and MySQL without being online. However, I haven't a dang clue as to how to get my installation working with PHP/MySQL.

I installed them, I know that much.

So where do I get started to get them running?

Please help.

Thanks in advance.

On Fedora, installing apache (httpd), php and mysql should be enough coz I think Fedora and other distros build them so that they work hand in hand without much reconfiguration. If you need to tweak anything, I would suggest trying out webmin, it's sort of a central admin place for your system and services.

Thank you.

One more question, I though Fedora 2 allowed you to install them by default.

They were optional in the installation, and I selected them.

Anyway, do I just install them, and then visit http://127.0.0.1?

Thanks for the help,

Yeah, visiting http://127.0.0.1 should confirm whether apache is installed and working correctly.
