PHP + MySQL Integration issue
If any one can point me in the right direction, I would greatly appreciate it.
I have installed MySQL 4.0.17 via RPM's from MySQL.com I am trying to install PHP 4.3.4 from source. My problem is that im not sure what path to specify for the MySQL integration. When I run the configure script with the --with-mysql argument i get a message saying "You chose to compile PHP with the built-in MySQL support . . ." According to the documentation @ mysql.com it says that rpm's are installed to /var/lib/mysql I tried this and I get the same result. Is there anywhere else I should point to in the config script? Please help. Im running Redhat 9. Thanks in advance. P.S. I asked this on another forum and got flamed for being a newbie, and not using the setup out of the box from Redhat. You guys are a better crowd here anyways. |
I have a good step-by-step tutorial on installing a LAMPSSL (Linux+Apache+Mysql+PHP+SSL).
You can skip some installation depending on what you really want to install. here is the link: www.brtnet.org/linux/lampssl.htm |
