Unhappy php install


i could not install php in mandrake linus 8.2
i follow these steps.
i) download the latest php-4.3.2.tar.gz
ii) then unzip the file .it create a folder php-4.3.2

iii) after going to that folder issued the command
$ ./configure --with-mysql --with-apxs
$ make

this time a err message generate that flex not found.

please help me.
