php does not compiles


Hello i am trying to compile the last version of the stable php. I run ./configure but the process stops due to a missing to a command named lex? Do u know what is this?
I have searched everywhere
to msyql.net php.net . But i can;t find sth,.,... Any suggestion will realy help.
A! I just remembered. How i can fine where apache2 and mysl4 are installed? RedHat 8.0

lex script:

#!/bin/sh
