PHP and Linux

Well, I would like to learn PHP to create a database driven site. Any recommendations on which PHP package to use, documentation on learning PHP, and any other general advice when learning PHP would be great...

Thanks!

Mike

What sort of database driven site are you after?

Do you want:

A Shop?
A Forum?
A Project Site?

Then you can refine your seaches better.

This will be for a friend. She sells software and wants a site to promote that. We will be going over the details later this week.

I will post the results of our discussion after we meet.

So I guess a project site?
