Photoshop and Breesebrowser install w/ wine help

I am trying to install Photoshop and Breesebrowser with wine.

With photoshop I am able to get it going but when it comes to entering in the serial number, it will not let me. As if the keyboard is not working.

With Breesebrowser, my RAW converter and RAW viewer, it will try to install but error out when trying to make the shortcut to the desktop or whereever it is trying to make it.

Any suggestions on getting these to install.

what was your steps for installing PS7?
What version wine do you have?

damienduff 06-22-2005 04:43 AM

sorry dude, i was busy lately.
Installation was fairly simple.
wine media/cdrom0/Photoshop/Setup.exe
my wine is kind of old, wine-20031212.
well they say wine is better with age. (pun intended) :)
maybe u would like to try the latest wine; Wine-20050524.tar.gz

seriously, sometimes the keyboard hangs on me too, but fortunately, the mouse still works.
Therefore wat i did was to open konsole, type in watever, use mouse to copy and paste on PS7.
hope it helps.

[jeff@jeff1:~]$ wine /media/cdrom1/Photoshop/Setup.exe
Invoking /usr/lib/wine/wine.bin /media/cdrom1/Photoshop/Setup.exe ...
