After searching the net

Seems quite good. What do other people think ? Does anyone have any bad experiences with it or think that program x is wonderful.

I am running Xubuntu would that be a problem ?

BTW I just want something that will let me organize my photos.

Since you are running the X flavour of Ubuntu, ( XFCE ) desktop, I think you will find a lot of the KDE files will be installed in order to run this program. I have not tried it, just thought I would let you know, here are two I have tried and liked for photo organization.

F-Spot Photo Mnanager and Picasa. Of these two, I prefer F-Spot over Picasa. Picasa is a windoers program, and runs well enough with Wine. I installed it ( the linux version ) and all the wine stuff got installed with little effort. It comes as a compiled binary with an installer. I believe I just gunziped the package. Works as advertised.

F-Spot for me is the program I use the most. There was a Mandriva package, so I would expect there is a package for Xubuntu also.
