Phoenix Browser

I'm using Debian 3.0 and I downloaded and untar'ed the Phoenix browser (0.4). When I try to run it, I get, File not found error message as normal user and as root!

Any ideas why this won't work? Is it because of Debian's strict installation routine or something?

Did you read the download and install notes:

http://www.mozilla.org/projects/phoe...s.html#install

You ALWAYS have to either have a program in your PATH or specify
the path to that program before it'll run.
If you do a:
man bash
you can search that for PATH and find out some usefull information.

Yeh you could do what crashmeister said, which i think he does this, go to the directory and execute it doing ./filename

Or what moses is saying by putting it in your path so you don't always have to go to that direcotry to run it, you could just run it by 'filename' just like that...

I've tried running it from the directory it's installed in and get the error message using just phoenix and ./phoenix.

It should run when you are directly in the programs directory!

It may have something to do with Debian, since it's not a stable type of program AFA Debian's concerned.
