Permissions on mounted disk

Hello. At startup I mount my /dev/hdb1 and /dev/hdb2 partitions to /mnt/files and /mnt/backup. They are FAT32. But, by default, there are permissions only for root and all other users can't work with them. How do I set those permissions? Thank you. I tried chmod , but it doesn't work.

I'd suggest using the search feature ... this question
has been asked and answered HEAPS of times.

Use the terms "fstab permissions FAT user"

Cheers,
Tink
