Permanently Delete/Shred a samba share
Yeah, I know that a Windows solution would probably be better to permanently delete data on an NTFS formatted NAS, but everything I've looked into there doesn't support network drives it seems. Shred seems to only support those *nix friendly file systems.
Other than scripting something myself (which is entirely possible I guess) is there any other Linux solution to wipeout this drive? In fact, I'm not even sure that the drive is NTFS formatted. During setup, I was only able to set up the Network Services (AppleTalk or NTFS) so I chose the one I know works with Samba...even though performance is awful.
Anyways, cheers.
