perl - segment fault

I've upgraded my OS (to Slackware 14.2). Everything runs OK, but spamd segment faults. I tried upgrading spamassassin using perl, but when I entered `install Mail::SpamAssassin` I get a segment fault.

I next tried removing the SpamAssassin builds from ~/.cpan, but that didn't help. I next tried removing and installing perl altogether, but then I got a segment fault, just running perl:
Code:
> perl -MCPAN -e shell
Segmentation fault
I need ideas quick! This is a corporate mail server!
