Perl Crypt::SmbHash

I am using CENTOS 4.4 and have search there website along with several other repositories website. For the love of god where is the @#$@#$%@#$ can one find Perl Crypt::SmbHash rpm package. I have been to cspan and downloaded the .tar and compiled it and etc but whenever I attempt to install smbldap-tools.rpm it needs Perl Crypt::SmbHash package. I have been everywhere. Another question, after you install a package from a .tar.gz and you perform the standard make, make install how does the system register those files so that the other programs know they are there?

I was able to download a fedora 4 noarch.rpm and it worked. Is Fedora 4 essentialy the same as CENTOS 4.4?
