Perl/CGI Problem "Premature Premature end of script headers: countdown.pl"

I have upgraded to RH 9.0 from 7.1. I had the Perl and this script working fine before on 7.1. I have tried everything I can think of. I've changed the permissions, modified the script etc.

Anyway when I open the browser and get the error:

Server error!
The server encountered an internal error and was unable to complete your request.
Error message:
Premature end of script headers: countdown.pl
If you think this is a server error, please contact the webmaster
Error 500

By the way I've seen many people with the same problem but none of them seem to have solutions that really help.

Any help would be great. If you would like I will post the script here.

Do you get any error messages in your apache error_log file when you access the page?

What are the current permissions on the file:
ls -l /path/to/countdown.pl

If you can post a copy of the script it would help as well.

Sorry, I forgot to say I just decided to forget it and switch back to RH 7.1. Thanks for you help anyway.
