Performance Monitor for linux

Hi all,
I'm looking for the 'Performance Monitor (like in windowz)' program for linux.
Could someone suggest any?

What do you want to monitor?

xosview (shipped with several distributions)
xload (simple load graph)
KTimeMon (shipped with KDE)
top (text based process&load viewer)

I'd like to collect, record and display the <cpu>+<memory usage>+<any other resources usage> of the machine running linux.

instead of top i'll prefer to use the entire /proc abilities, save and parse it and then to display using some UI based tool, but I was loking for the ready one.
