Post Performance in linux is slower than windows

I developped an application in windows, and compiled the same code in linux.
When I compare the performance by executing the application in both windows and lunix, I found that linux is slower by 30%, When windows CPU usage is 10% for the application, in linux the spu usage is 40%.

Can any one pl help me, to know what are the possible cause for this.

It can be that the app has been designed to use it under windows and not linux. Although you can run it in Linux, is specifically made for windows. I guess is the same that happens for example to UT2004. That game was designed to run under nvidia cards using DirectX9, although there's a linux port using OpenGL, but the game is not optimized to use OpenGL.
I guess the problem with your app can be like that.

UT2k4 loads faster on Suse than it did on XP.. I found that weird.. but it runs really smooth, not choppy at all and the netcode seems to be better, no lag too.

I'm not on crack either.

The only time i find linux slower is for web browsing.. You guys that still have a windows partition should check out MyIE 2 (google it, too lazy to get the link).. it's the best web browser i've tried by far. I set up tab browsing in firefox to work somewhat similarly to that and it's way slower.. not at loading pages but at opening new tabs. Firefox also takes ~3-5 seconds to load while MyIE took less than a second, heh. Yeah well if you guys know a browser with a good tab browsing system that doesnt get laggy after you open > 10 tabs, let me know.

Well, that's true just because Linux is quite a lot less resource consumer. Specially if you have a light WM like blackbox, fluxbox or IceWM.
What i said in my previous post is just a guessing of what can be the explanation of that "poor" performance. Of course this shouldn't happen, but informatics still do wierd things

I just loaded 20 not blank tabs and when I switch tabs it takes less than a second...

I'm using the GTK2 version of Firefox, though, not the GTK1 version that you get when you click Linux on their main page.

When you go to the folder, you can see the GTK2 version:
