Question PengAol compile error - can't install either.

I'm trying to install PengAol on Fedora Core 4 and I've been following the tutorial I found here[can't post URLs, its the first google search for "aol linux"]. When I tried to just install PengAol using peng1.0a01.tar.gz and the default installer, it didn't quite work. I got it to install but the config files were missing and so were most of the files that should have been there. I then tried to recompile from source to install, but I get an error when compiling.

Code:
/bin/sh: g++: command not found
make[2]: *** [threadELV3.o] Error 127
make[1]: *** [all-recursive] Error 1
make: *** [all-recursive-am] Error 2
eng/peng'
g++ -DHAVE_CONFIG_H -I. -I. -I..     -D_REENTRANT -c threadELV3.cpp
make[2]: Leaving directory `/home/owner/Desktop/peng/peng'
make[1]: Leaving directory `/home/owner/Desktop/peng'
I have a few PengAol directories installed that I found with my KDE find tool, but not all of the ones I should have. All I have after trying to install is one pengaol file in /usr/bin and one in /etc. I have no idea how to uninstall what may have been installed, because I'm pretty new to Linux and not exactly sure how things are installed / uninstalled.

Any help would be appreciated because I've searched and haven't found anyone getting the same type of PengAol error as I have, and since I have no experience troubleshooting this kind of thing, I've got no idea what to do.

EDIT: I just remembered, the first time I compiled I was getting a lib dependency error for libstdc++-libc6.2-2.so.3 so I went searching and could only find compat-libstdc++-7.3-2.96.126.i386.rpm so I just installed that and now I'm getting this error. Could that be the problem?

/bin/sh: g++: command not found

That's the error. You don't have a C++ compiler on your system most likely. Install the gnu c/c++ compilers.

I appreciate the help, I didn't see that g++ line.

You're right, I am missing g++. The only problem is I can't seem to install it. I tried to
Code:
# apt-get install g++
but it didn't work, it couldn't find any matches for "g" which seems to me that it can't handle the ++ part. I couldn't get it to work with yum either. So instead I went to rpmseek.com and downloaded the g++ rpm to try and install it and I'm getting package dependency errors saying I'm missing gcc, cpp, and libstdc; all of which I have installed and verified that I have installed with apt-get and yum. How can I install g++?
