PDF to TIFF

Hi all,

does anybody know of a (preferable open source) program to confert PDF files to TIFF? I have seen various commercial packages out there, but I just want something which will work on the linux command line so that I can wrap it with a perl script.

thanks

If you have Imagemagic installed this works very well.

convert sample.pdf sample.tiff

Wow, this spam-posting is in an even OLDER thread than your other. Thread reported, and no one here needs your software to do what Linux can already do FOR FREE.

If your system has "The Gimp" software package, you can open a pdf with Gimp and save it as a tif. I just tried this under Ubuntu and it worked ok.

This may be irrelevant to your question. I don't know if Gimp can be run from the command line.

Gimp has a batch processor available that I have found immensely useful, it may work for what he's doing as well.
