pdf documents with wrong mimetype

Hi,
I have a few pdf documents which open without any problems in Windows, however for some reason konqueror identifies them as mimetype audio/x-mp3 (even though they have extension .pdf) and for this reason all my pdf viewers refuse to read the files.
Is there any way to change the mime type?
thanks,
Ed
