PCTel-0.8.6 help!

I have a pctel modem for sure, and am using RedHat 9. [2.4.20-8]. The directions are at http://linmodems.technion.ac.il/pcte...l-0.8.6/README

At step 4 I had a problem. This is what I got:

Can anyone help me? I just got a new computer that cant accept ISA cards but will take my PCI modem [the modem I am using in linux now is ISA, trying to get PCI one to work] and can't afford to buy an external serial modem. Help!
