Pcmcia + Mandrake 9.0 = Freeze
 

OK. I have read over about a dozen simalar problems so I do not feel TOO stupid. Just to reiterate what others have said:
Installed Linux on Toshiba Laptop,
On start up it freezes on pcmcia,
I can get around it, but no network,
The light on the network card never turns on (it worked fine when I had windows)
I have read the other posts and am even more clueless.
