pcmanfm in lubuntu 14.04 can't browse network
I am getting an error "operation not supported" message when I try to go to local network smb:// or sftp:// addresses.
I'm using pcmanfm 1.2 and lubuntu 14.04 64 bit.
What might be wrong here? This is a fresh install.

So, looks like this issue is only happening in an nx 3.5 session. Going to the physical computer, pcmanfm works fine. Log in with nx and you can't browse the network.
What could be causing this?

This is also the case when using tightvnc. When I am at the computer, browsing the network works, but when I make a vnc connection into Lubuntu, it gives the operation not supported message. I installed nautilus to see if that would make a difference and it still does not work. If I connect to pcmanfm via X and try, the same error occurs.
When I first installed Lubuntu 14.04, I recall that this would work via vnc. If indeed I am not making things up, then an update must have caused this issue.
