Unhappy PCLinuxOS Gnome 2008 - Taskbar appears and disappears randomly

I'm pretty new to Linux, I installed PCLinuxOS Gnome 2008 the other day.

I Downloaded a few themes, put a few programs on, and everything went smoothly.

I turned it on this morning though, logged in, and found that the Taskbar (Which I had put at the bottom for familiarity)was not there.

Occasionally it comes up, but then goes back down before I can click on it. I tried restarting but that didn't change anything.

What do I do? (Damn I sound like a n00b)

it might be really easy to solve I hope?

it may be a hidden taskbar....hover your mouse at bottom of screen and it should appear.

if it does right hand click ..assuming you are right handed and find the setting to leave it on.

I do not like gnome but this may help

newbies might be better off using KDE. my 2 cents worth of opinion...feel free to ignore

gnome, pclinuxos, taskbar
