PCI IDE adapter and DMA
I have this system (Running RH9) with a bunch of disks in it. Two disks are connected to a PCI card (HPT370) and in Linux recognized as SCSI devices.

Now I only get a transfer rate of about 2mb/sec on these disks (while laoding my CPU for over 60%). Of course, this is because DMA isn't enabled on these drives.

So how can I enable DMA on them? I guess there must be some way to tell Linux that these drive are IDE drives, right?
