I've seen issues before where the root directory has such liberal permissions. It there a specific reason why it's 777?

Edit - by root I mean /u01/app/orasymascp

Problem identified. You need to either turn off StrictModes or chmod 750 /u01/app/orasymascp. The latter option is a better approach.

thanks a lot

Issue is resolved after changing the home dir permissions to 750

I really appreciate your help, it was long pending issue for me
