Question Partitioning help needed!

Hello,
I tried installing RedHat 7.2 but the disk partitioner would not work. I then tried Partition Magic 7.0, but that didn't work either, I received an "error 2005."
I want to run a dual boot system without deleting any current data... any suggestions on what I should be looking for or trying to do next?

you might want to defragment your drive first, then you use partition magic to cut your parition in half or whatever without losing data to it... you might want to look up that error 2005 from partition magics site if your getting that error when using it.

What other OS do you have on the drive?
How is it partitioned now, and how do you want it to end up (number, sizes, and types of partitions)?

The redhat installer cannot make a partition if the entire drive already consists of FAT or NTFS partitions, nor can it (to my knowledge) resize those partitions.

Powerquest's tech support knowledgebase lists error 2005 as an indication that there are lost clusters on a Windows partition, and recommends running scandisk.
