Hi,
I have run slackware for quiet a while, without any problems.
Now, i had to do something in windows, and "smart windows" detected that the linux drive was "corrupted" or something and destroyed it.
I now want to reinstall slackware, after setting up the partition.
I am not exactly sure how the partitioning works: I know that you have (should) have a partition for the installation and the user's /homes/, even though they could somehow be speard across multiple partitions or drives. I know that most linux drives have a "swap" partition, which i am not sure about. I don't know what the swap partition is used for and how big it should be.
So basically, i am asking:
"How do i set up the partitions on a harddrive dedicated to linux?" and "What is a swap partition and how big should it be?"
Thanks!!
