Partition sizes?
Hey guys!

just a quickie. how do i find out the size od my /dev/hda1 and /dev/hda drive partitions? and what part of the system is alocated to where. thanx..

You can enter "df -h" to see the size of the partition (/dev/hda1) and "fdisk -l /dev/hda" to see the size of the whole disk and also as it is partitioned.

I have SUSE 9 and start YAst, somewher has partition (somewhat). over there u see what drive is what. hda is all the drive. hda1 is the main , and the next partition is hda5 as they say. but with this tool (partition .....) u get the numbers of the devices.
