Partioion Questions
I just looked at my partitions with Disk Drake, and of my 28 GB hard drive, 5 gb is in / , 450 mb in swap , and 22 Gb in /home. Does that mean that 5 gb is for linux and 22 gb is for my programs and files?. When I install programs , will they go in the / partiton or the /home partition? If my new programs go into the / partition, then i want to make it bigger and the /home one smaller.

5 GB should be plenty for for all your programs, don't worry. If you compile programs (trees of which can be big), you can also do this in your "home" directory .

Ok, that't fine, just in windows 5 Gb would be nowhere near enough for all my programs, and 200 mb would probably be enough for my documents , but my video and music files um ... um..... 10 Gb?

that u can use the /home partiion... don't use the '/' partition for it
