partimage restore do a bigger disk
 

Env: partimage-0.6.4-2mdk
i succesfully used partimage to backup and restore windows partitions.


Prb: win98 partition on hda1 size 2gb
backup with partimage
i changed the drive with a 40gb one
restore with partimage...
the system bring up correctly...but...
win98 shows the disk as 2Gb !
i can see the win98 partition with cfdisk
and it is 40Gb...
it seems that the restore brings also disk info.....
how to fix ?
any help from people that in the past used
this application to perform a restore to a bigger disk will be appreciated

You can solve this problem by creating a partition that is the same size as the original partition and restoring the image. Then you can resize the partition using gparted.
