Pan News Reader 0.94 Error

I have configured and installed Pan 0.94 on RHEL WS4 update 3.
It configured and installed OK, but when I try to run, I get the following error:

[dwdrumrboy@localhost ~]$ pan
pan: error while loading shared libraries: libgmime-2.0.so.2: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

[dwdrumrboy@localhost ~]$ whereis libgmime-2.0.so.2
libgmime-2.0.so: /usr/local/lib/libgmime-2.0.so /usr/local/lib/

What do I need to change, something in the path environment?

Any assistance would be appreciated.

Thanks - dwdrumrboy

Is /usr/local/lib/ in your library path? If not, edit /etc/ld.so.conf and run ldconfig.

Unfortunately, yes - the path is in the ld.so.conf

include ld.so.conf.d/*.conf

/usr/local/lib
/usr/lib/kylix3

Thanks - dwdrumrboy
