Pan eating up my ram

Hi, I have a problem with the newsreader Pan on Mandrake 9.1 with KDE.

When I'm getting the headers of big binary groups Pan will completely fill up my ram memory and my swap partition.
And they are both 512 MB! Resulting in an very slow computer, and sometimes even an crashing KDE.

Somebody has any idea how this can happen and what I can do about it?

If your news server keeps a large history, this could conceivably happen without there being a memory leak. Try limiting the number of headers pan downloads.

Reported it. I hope somebody can fix it, cause I like Pan.

I tried that but it doesn't work.
