pam_mount Authentication and SSH Password-Less Login
Hi all,

I am currently messing around with pam_mount trying to get an encrypted partition automagically mounted on login. It currently works for a local login (via GDM), but I typically access the computer in question from another (Windows) computer over SSH using key files so that I don't have to give SSH my password every time. Is there any way to configure my authentication so that my password-less login is sufficient to launch pam_mount to mount my local encrypted partition? It seems like since I am not giving it my login password over SSH, I'll at least have to store an encrypted copy of my password on the disk...either way, I'm not sure which modules may or may not be capable of this. Thanks in advance for any help you can offer!

Did you ever figure out a solution for this?

Nope, sorry... I remember the issue now but have a totally different setup so I didn't end up tracking down a solution. Good luck if you're trying to get it working!

Thanks. I got some good answers form the Seattle LUG here:
