Palm Problem

I have a Palm Tungsten T (Palm OS 5) and I'm trying to configure it but my computer (Fedora 1) does nothing. when i'm in gnome I go to 'Configure Palm OS Devices' and I put USB and everything and when it asks me to sync my palm it does nothing either, it just stays in there. Can anyone tell me how I can configure this device or what program to use with it?

Have you set the right permissions to the device? And have does your kernel have "Preliminary USB device filesystem" enabled?

Have you checked if the palm tool refers to the correct port? (with me it's /dev/usb/tts/0 ). you can check whether it's the correct port (or at least whether it's active) by using 'cat /dev/usb/tts/0' when you've pressed the hotsync button.

what is it suppose to do? I think its one of the /dev/usb/ttyUSB0 but how do I know if it is that port, I go cat /dev/usb/ttyUSB0 when i sync and it does nothing it just seems to wait for something, and when I do the same thing and I don't sync it says device not avalable, is this it? if so when I go to Pilot Settings and use this port it does nothing.

Try launching jpilot and pointing the serial port to the USB port, such as /dev/ttyUSB0 or something like that...
