Hello, where does the packet manager read all installed packets from on Ubuntu ?

the package manager reads them from the "Packages" files download from each of the repositories defined in /etc/apt/sources.list and /etc/apt/sources.list.d/*.list
These Packages files are stored locally in /var/lib/apt/lists
