packages

I'm trying to install new packages on my FC3, and when I do that it tells me that I libmusicbrainz.so.4 isn't installed. I downloaded the rpm for musicbrainz and installed it, but I still get the same error message. I'm also ao newb. How can I fix this? and why does installing packages off of the FC3 cd require other things?

What exactly are you trying to install. The best way to install packages is to use a package manager such as apt or yum, that automatically resolve dependencies. If you search on google, you will find quite a few yum and apt repositories as well as the official ones from fedora project. Don't forget to setup the extras repository as well.
