Package Management Hangs, RH 9.0s

Hi, I'm new to the Linux world.

I installed redhat 9 on my laptop and all was working fine. I went into the 'Add/Remove applications' a few times, no problems. But now when I go in there, the Package Management window opens, and then the 'Checking system status' opens up, the progress bar move a little, then just hangs.
The only way I can stop it is to log off, when I log in again, and run it, it hangs again.

Any Ideas how I can fix this ?
Thanks
Max

I have had nothing but problems using Red Hat's version of Package Manager. I re-installed kdeadmin which has kpackage, which should have been there in the first place, but Red Hat removed. So my answer would be to install Kpackage. This is a little harder than it seems, since it requires compiling kdeadmin from source. Or, you could try http://rpmwiz.sourceforge.net/download.html
which is a nice package manager.
