Oxygen theme doesn't appear in qtconfig

I have KDE 4.6.3 installed, but I'm not using KDE as my desktop (just Openbox).

For some reason, KDE's "Oxygen" theme isn't available in qtconfig. Also, KDE apps seem to be following the selection in qtconfig, not the one in KDE's System Settings.

I rember that before, qtconfig let you choose Oxygen, and KDE apps followed the choice in KDE System Settings (even if you were not using KDE).

Here's my .xinitrc:

xmodmap ~/.Xmodmap
exec openbox-session
, and .config/openbox/

# Preload stuff for KDE apps
if which start_kdeinit >/dev/null 2>&1; then
  LD_BIND_NOW=true start_kdeinit --new-startup +kcminit_startup &

# Run XDG autostart things. By default don't run anything desktop-specific
# See xdg-autostart --help more info
#if which /usr/lib/openbox/xdg-autostart >/dev/null 2>&1; then
#  /usr/lib/openbox/xdg-autostart $DESKTOP_ENV

conky &
glipper-old &
. What should I do to fix it?

Note that this is a duplicate of this thread (link). It's not in a very active part of the forum, and didn't get any replies after 2 auto-bumps and one manual bump. I think that it's doubtful that it will get any replies. Moderators: you can close the other thread if you think that's best.

What distribution are you using ? I'm using the experimental stuff from debian (4.6.3 and qt 4.7.x) and cannot reproduce it.
If it is Arch, as your profile suggests, I have seen a posting with this problem. It suggested exporting a variable.

and the wiki entry:

was still in my browser history

Thanks, that works!

I added

export QT_PLUGIN_PATH=$HOME/.kde4/lib/kde4/plugins/:/usr/lib/kde4/plugins/
to my /etc/profile, logged in and out, and all the KDE themes (including Oxygen, Phase, QtCurve, etc.) are now in QtConfig.

Even though the issue itself is solved, I have one more question: howcome KDE apps follow the Qt settings, not the KDE settings (I actually like it better because I only have to change it in QtConfig and not also have to go to KDE's settings, but it's still different from the way it worked before and I wonder if it's correct)?
