oVirt Problem, cannot log in

Installed oVirt 4 and cannot log into web GUI. Installed on Centos 7.

"The client is not authorized to request an authorization. It's required to access the system using FQDN."

A well known problem, but no fix. I want to access via IP address not a hostname.

The reason you must use a FQDN is because the ovirt system runs a certificate management system as well as a kerberos domain.

In order to satisfy the login for kerberos, the machine must belong to the domain and in terms of the ovirt management panel, the aurhorization is only allowed on a secure connection. In order for the certifiate to verify itself, a FQDN is required since when the certificate is signed, it signs using the domain that you setup. So by acessing by ip, it cannot validate the domain meaning the certificate cannot be authenticated, thus no login to preserve system security.

There is no fix because it is not a bug.

Sorry. I had my head in clouds. The kerberos part is for the redhat idm services, not ovirt. But i believe the certificate part would be a similar setup for accessing the management node.
